For the most part it appears as beautifully artful, until you reach the point with the boy's head. The dramatic tension trying to predict what they're going to do next is a real attention grabber. I'm not thrilled by the text that reveals from the bullet, but it does give that immediacy to the "don't point that thing at me you idiot!"
